All staff who have to contribute to ideas to improve the organisation and who will be expected to implement changes and improvements to move towards a better future.
Introduction to the course
This instrument allows each school to set their Goals, identify the challenges presented by their current Position and list the Strategic approaches (GPS) that will help them achieve the goals and meet the challenges positively to become an organisation moving towards a brighter future. The GPS Guide is an instrument which allows you to visually interact with your progress and to identify problem areas within your organisation. Each school / tertiary institution will be supplied with a display GPS Guide.
What will participants learn?
- Facilitators will guide staff through completing all sections of the GPS Guide, starting with
- Creating a vision for your organisation
- Identifying goals that will move you towards realising your vision
- Determining which strategies and motivators will assist you in pursuing the identified goals.
- Linking actual behaviours to success, bearing different thinking preferences in mind
- How to use the GPS Guide as a monitoring tool to
- Track your progress
- Hold every staff member accountable to contribute to the process
- Give staff insight into mutual accountability and shared responsibility to reach the desired outcomes
- Long-term use of the GPS Guide
